Bad storms came through last night and we have had a front sitting on top of us for days trying to decide if we are to get the heat that's in the rest of the country or keep us cool. Tried to take advantage of some morning fog to see if I could get anything interesting. It's amazing how a picture can change as you crop, and play with the curves and then begin to see something in the image. Comments welcome..

hawkeye978 > Winter's coming. It was 24deg F at the house this morning so I thought I'd zoom in on some frost. It's amazing what patterns you can find as you start to crop.
hawkeye978 > Early Morning in the Orchard The local orchards are finally beginning to show blooms. Hopefully these peach trees won't be damaged as it was below freezing this morning despite being the first of May. This town used to be full of commercial apple and peach orchards but over the years they have converted to housing. Now there are only about three orchards left, and two of those are owned by the town to preserve the character.
hawkeye978 > My town is somewhat old (incorporated 1729) so this was the main graveyard for many years. There are a variety of gravestones approaching 300 years old. Here is a section at dusk where you can see some examples and hopefully a feeling for the sight.
